I recently completed my B.F.A. with honors from the University of the Arts where I studied Graphic Design and Crafts. I grew up in a family of Interior, Industrial, and Graphic Designers, Architects, Sculptors, and Art Educators. They are my biggest fans and my toughest critics (beside myself). Design is my life and not an occupation. I eat, drink, and sleep this stuff.
Thoughts on Design
In today’s “post” post modernist world the names we use to categorize art making are beginning to fade.
Artists are designers and designers, artists. It is in this spirit that I have dedicated myself to all
aspects of making with an emphasis on problem solving.
“Graphic Designers” of the future must learn to communicate ideas both personal
and universal; physical and virtual. Great design uses any and/or all resources and materials available to evoke
thought, and communicate ideas with clarity.
